Activator #1: Amplify Creative Expression in All Areas of Your Life

How creative we feel in everyday life has a lot to do with how expressed and fulfilled we are in life. Luckily, there’s nothing really tricky about moving the needle of creativity in each of these domains (Home, Work, Intimate Relationship, Friendships, Leisure, Contributions)–it just takes a little focus and consistency.
Activator #2: Study People and Design
Nearly every creative in the world would give you the exact same advice if you were to ask him or her, “How do I become more creative?” The answer would be, “Go watch people and explore the world.”
You already have a design mind-set. When you rearrange your living room, change the layout of a presentation, match your outfits, or envision a new way a product could look, you are designing. It’s in pushing this natural strength into a more conscious and consistent realm that you begin to feel more fully alive. So, pick up a few design magazines, update the art or furnishings in your home, or keep a journal and note what you like or don’t like about the design of the products you interact with every day.
Activator #3: Create More, Share More
Don’t just be an observer of creativity, always looking to others and things–translate your inspiration into real works. Creativity isn’t just about ideas; it’s about physical form. The idea is the spark, the physical form the outcome.
Finally, don’t keep all this creativity to yourself. It turns out that one of the greatest ways to activate creativity in your life is to share more. Share your works with others, get their feedback. Also important, start telling more stories about what fascinates you in the world.
