How do you keep an optimistic and realistic understanding of what’s out there when there are some people around you who just seem like they’re always pushing you down? Or when someone who’s broken your heart or somebody who walked away from you at an important time?
Here’s what you can do:
1. Don’t Play the Victim Game
We often feel that people can’t understand us, so we start separating ourselves from them. But there’s seven billion people on the planet, and thousands of years of human history. You are not alone, nor are you going through something that no one can understand. It’s easier to believe in people again when you realize that people CAN understand you.
2. Share Who You Are
The way to trust people again is to share your thoughts, your feelings, your beliefs, your ambitions, your dreams with people again. Trust that people will support you… but only if you give them reason to by sharing yourself authentically.
3. Network with Your Positive Network
If everyone seems like a jerk, but you have at least one positive person who you work with at your job, go out to lunch with them. Start talking with them and get to know their friends. Go out to lunch with their friends. Go out to dinner with their friends. Positive people tend to attract other positive people and as soon as you reconnect with your friends who are positive, who do believe in people, who do believe in you, who do cheer you on, you start to access their network of other people like that.
Follow the advice in this video and the points above and soon you’ll find more supportive people who believe in you, who want to engage with you, who you have enthusiasm to meet and see again and then you have what we call The Charged Life.
